Amalgamated Houses Tower 2

The Spring of 2023 part of the outer brick wall on Tower2 fell off. It turned out that only half the required number of brick ties were holding the wall in place. The section was repaired.

The house has been torn down. The Van Cortlandt Village Jewish Center will soon be demolished. This picture was taken in 2012 from inside the VCV Jewish Center, which also housed a senior center.

The Older Adult Center is leaving my neighborhood

 The Van Cortlandt Older Adult Center run by JASA is moving from 3880 Sedgwick Ave. to 181 W. 231 St.  The building it is in has been sold.  The new location is more than a mile away.
